Bastimentos National Marine Park

Panama designated 32,700 acres of Isla Bastimentos, its surrounding marine area and the Zapatilla Cayes as a national park in 1988.  

 

Inhabitants

A park ranger and an occasional group of turtle volunteers during nesting season.

 

Park Fees

The park ranger will either approach you or your guide to pay the $10 park fee for tourists, $1.00 park fee for University students, $2.00 park fee for Panamanians.  The park is free for Panamanian National Retirees, all students through 12th grade and children under age 12 with identification.
